Movies. Moments. The Inexplicable. Justin Bieber. Cats and Dogs and Dolphins doing unseemly things together. If there was something to categorize this year, you can bet your listmaker feature on your laptop, someone thought to include it somewhere on their 'Top Ten' list for 2011. And because I hadn't planned on doing my own top ten this year, I give you this year's top ten lists that celebrate the things that truly mattered in 2011...
1) The Best Films of 2011 (Roger Ebert's Journal) - Okay, busted. It's not a top ten list. It's a top 20 list. Well, okay, busted yet again. It's a top 20 list with another 31 honorable mentions. But when it's a list from one of America's preeminent film critics, it's safe bet that the list is going to be however long it needs to be. So deal.
2) The Top Ten LGBT Stories of 2011 (Bilerico) - Yeah, I could have picked from dozens of other equally worthy sites. But Bilerico is more than just a source of all things GLBT. It's a community where, after a fairly long spell of unruliness, Bil Browning organized the comments section to reflect the passion, intelligence and hard work of its contributors. But if you want to join the family and comment, you have to have a Facebook account or you're out of luck. (Insert sad face.)
3) The Top Ten Highest-Grossing Documentaries of 2011 (Nakedcamei) - If you're wondeing why I'm including a list on a subject that I've shown scant interest in over the years, I've got three words for you: Justin Bieber shirtless. According to the site, Justin Bieber's ode to all things Justin Bieber - "Never Say Never" - grossed a whopping 73 million dollars making it the third-highest grossing documentary of all time, behind only "Fahrenheit 9/11" and "March of The Penguins." So what does that tell you? Teen girls and fags like me know a worthy subject when we see one!

4) The Top Ten Things To Know About Illinois Prisions in 2011 (HuffingtonPost) - What can I say? I'm guilty as charged. I've got a prision fetish. So sue me. (Or lock me up and throw away the key!)

5) The Top Ten Hottest Queerty Posts of 2011 (Queerty) - Hot shirtless OWS guys? Hot athletes Who Went To Porn? Taylor Lautner's hands? It doesn't get much better than this from the folks who always add a little lift and verve (and profundity) to the seismic shift in gay news coverage.
6) The Top Ten Twenty Best Episodes in 2011 (Salon) In a year that saw "Glee" go cosmically gay, and Michael leave The Office, television (and cable) continued to dominate the airwaves with a level of quality that has Hollywood asking: What are we doing wrong?
7) The Top Ten Fame Whores of 2011 (GayPornDirt) - You didn't think I'd forget about the gay porn industry, now did ya'? Besides, with everyone else making their own conventional lists, I thought I'd turn to Jet Set Men's Rob Romoni for an inside look at the people, in their endless quest for notoriety, who left shame at a rest stop back in Arizona in their quest to outshine all others.
8) The Top Ten Hip-Hop Earners of 2011 (Forbes) - Jay-Z. Sean 'Diddy' Combs. Eminem. Li'l Wayne. Kayne West. They're all there. They're all rich. And I'd fuck or be fucked by every last one of them.

9) The Top Ten 'Gay Abuses' of 2011 (World Net Daily) - Politicians who support equality, gay-glitter-on-politician-violence, child sex abuse in the form of loving same-sex couples raising children in warm, nuturing environments. If there's a gay storyline that can be perverted, you can bet your bottom, World Net Daily will twist it into some satanic plot hatched straight from the Devils colon.
10) The Top Ten Racist Quotes of 2011 (News One) - Anne Coulter made the list. Racist stalwart Pat Buchanan made it (again). Rush Limbaugh and Republican politicians also topped the list proving once again that breeding inborn children is not good for our country.
See you next year.
